Assignment 1

First, note that all of these are verbs, and therefore the accent will be placed as far to the left as the general rules allow.

• ἔδιδομεν  incorrect; should be ἐδίδομεν
  No syllable prior to the antepenult may be accented.
   

• γινωσκώ incorrect; should be γινώσκω
  Verb accent is recessive. However, the long ultima will prevent the accent from going all the way back to the antepenult.
   

• λάμβανω incorrect; should be λαμβάνω
  The long ultima prevents the accent from going all the way back to the antepenult.
   

• βλέπετε correct
   

• ἐρχο͂μαι incorrect; should be ἔρχομαι
  Although as a rule, diphthongs are long, final αι is short. Therefore the accent can go all the way back to the antepenult. Also note that a circumflex accent cannot stand on a short syllable.
   

• σωθῆσομεθα incorrect; should be σωθησόμεθα
   

• ἔχομεν correct
