No, however some registered students have received credit from accredited institutions for courses taken at NTGreek.net

Can I get credit for courses at NTGreek.net?

There are no agreements in place whereby an institution will automatically grant credit for courses taken at NTGreek.net. But there have been instances where a student has made arrangements with the school he or she was attending to get credit for courses at NTGreek.net. Such arrangements must be made by the student.

How much can I learn at NTGreek.net?

The two courses currently online represent about 2/3 of what is covered in a good first year college level course. A third course is being prepared, and when completed, the material covered in all three NTGreek.net courses will be equivalent to what is covered in one full year (2 semesters) of a good first year college level course.

Will I be able to read the Greek New Testament after completing the courses at NTGreek.net?

You will not be able to read the Greek New Testament after completing the two courses currently online. Participles, Infinitives, and Imperatives are not covered until the 3rd course which is not yet online. After completing the 3rd level course, the best of students would be able to read many parts of the New Testament, particularly those parts where the Greek is less difficult, such as the writings of John. However, it takes much practice to be at ease reading the Greek New Testament.

Will I be able to speak Greek after completing the courses at NTGreek.net?

No. Although the courses at NTGreek.net include audio recordings to help you learn to pronounce Greek and to help you commit things to memory, New Testament Greek is studied as a written language, not as a spoken language. Modern Greek is not the same as the Greek of New Testament times.

What pronunciation scheme is used at NTGreek.net?

What is known as the Erasmian pronunciation scheme is used. This is what has typically been used in most schools in the United States.

For registered students, there is a quiz over each lesson. There is also a Final Exam at the end of each course.
