SECTION B-- Translating

  1. T F The phrase ἐσχάτη ὥρα ἐστίν contains two nominatives.

  2. T F It makes sense to translate ὅτι using the English "that" in this sentence.

  3. T F ἔρχεται and ἐσχάτη share the same lexical form.

  4. T F This passage contains a Type II conditional statement, i.e., a conditional statement wherein the speaker assumes the protasis is contrary to fact.

Let no one, when he is tested, say ὅτι Ἀπὸ θεοῦ πειράζομαι· ὁ γὰρ θεὸς ἀπείραστός ἐστιν κακῶν, πειράζει δὲ αὐτὸς οὐδένα. ἕκαστος δὲ πειράζεται ὑπὸ τῆς ἰδίας ἐπιθυμίας.
  1. T F ὅτι should be translated "that" in this passage.

  2. T F If ἀπείραστος is a verbal adjective meaning, "untested," this passage tells us God is untested of or from evil things.

  3. T F In this passage, αὐτός means "same."

  4. T F The subject of πειράζεται  is ἕκαστος.
